Ouch...

Waking up at nine to watch the British Open seems like a great idea.... until you realize that John Daly has already finished his round. Yep, I missed Daly's next shot at greatness, a five over 76, bringing his two day (final?) score to a deceptively high +8. Looks like its time to hit the local Hooters pub, grab a few wings and drink this one off. The one positive is knowing that no matter how hungover I am, Big Bad John is most likely sharing in my pain, and also found time to play 18 holes at Carnoustie...I sympathize. Sergio Garcia continues to put on a fantastic show, proving that he is a world class golfer despite the lack of "world class" wins. However, as Serge carries "the hopes of Europe" on his shoulders, one cant help but visualize an epic breakdown. "Sergio has been adressing the ball for ten minutes now, unable to strike. It looks like he has taken off one of his shoes....Is he crying?" It is Carnoustie, I am not ruling it out. Tiger just hit his first tee shot into the Berne (SP?), maybe it is Sergio's time? I will press onward with my scarce coverage, and look forward to proving that Michael Vick is more now than Pacman Jones.
